The Cam Model Handbook
Straight answers for adults deciding whether webcam work is for them, and how to do it well if it is.
What this handbook is
A free, independent guide for adults weighing up webcam work. We explain how the main platforms work for models, what they really pay, what equipment passes their checks and how to stay private. We never recruit, manage or take a cut of anyone's earnings. Every claim links to its source, and every paid referral button says so.
Where to begin
New to all of this?
The complete path, from privacy decisions to your first month, across every major platform.
Thinking about LiveJasmin?
Run the pass/fail self-check before you apply. It prevents most rejections.
Want the real numbers?
LiveJasmin's 30-80% level table and independent data on how uneven cam earnings are.
Worried about privacy?
Stage identities, region blocking, Hide My Face, leaks and scams.
Why we lead with LiveJasmin
LiveJasmin's free chat is non-nude by rule, its members are used to paying for private sessions, and it publishes clear technical and conduct standards. It is also the hardest major platform to get into. So rather than just sending you there, this handbook helps you work out whether you'll pass, and points you somewhere better if you won't.
Paid link. If you register as a LiveJasmin model after using this button and go on to earn, LiveJasmin pays this handbook a referral fee. It comes out of LiveJasmin's share, never yours.
Three numbers worth knowing before you start
| Number | What it means | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 30% | LiveJasmin's share for level-1 income; it rises to 80% only at $30,000+ in a period | LiveJasmin model wiki |
| $0.05 | What one Chaturbate token is worth to the broadcaster | Chaturbate support |
| 10 viewers | The median room on Chaturbate's public feed, Sunday October 25, 2026, about 10 PM Central | Our own snapshot |

Our ground rules
- Adults only. Every platform we cover requires 18+ government ID, and so do we in spirit: this handbook is written for adults.
- No income promises. We publish rates and distributions, not fantasies.
- Online work only. We don't cover, and platforms ban, meeting members or anything in person.
- Paid links are labeled next to the button, not buried in a footer.
Questions people ask
Is Cam Model Handbook a cam site or agency?
No. It is an independent information site. We don't host streams, recruit, manage models or take any share of their earnings.
How does this site make money?
Some platforms pay us a referral fee when someone registers as a model through a labeled button and goes on to earn. The fee comes from the platform's share, not the model's.
Who is this guide for?
Adults aged 18 or older who are considering webcam work and want honest information first.
